As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
Author Guidelines
New Bulgarian University’s Acta Nova Humanistica invites submissions of original, previously unpublished research in the broad field of social sciences and humanities. We welcome texts in English, German, French, or Bulgarian.
Our publication decisions are based on a standard double-blind peer review process, with core evaluation criteria encompassing:
Originality: The degree to which the submission introduces innovative ideas or approaches in its field.
Methodology: The overall quality and coherence of the research methodology employed in the publication.
Significance and Impact: The potential intra-, inter-, and cross-disciplinary impact and relevance of the publication.
Writing Style: The clarity of writing and the overall structure of the submission.
Bibliography and References: The completeness, accuracy, and appropriateness of the bibliography.
To submit your text, please use the electronic form provided here. Manuscripts should not exceed 36,000 symbols, including tables and illustrations.
Ensure that your submission includes an abstract (approximately 150 words) in English, along with 5-10 keywords.
Additionally, provide a separate file with your name, email address, institutional address, and key biographical data (academic degree/position, institutional affiliations, major publications if applicable).
Manuscript submissions in ANH, should follow the Chicago author-date style. Please include a full bibliography of cited sources at the end of your manuscript and use endnotes when necessary (please avoid footnotes).
